California Secured Investments, LLC was founded in 1985 by CEO, Jeff LoCastro in Los Gatos, California. Established as a real estate development operation, it quickly evolved into the multisector operation that exists today. It is a closely held private operation that applies its resources, not to a top heavy bureaucracy, but on a sleek and nimble style that allows for quick and personal decision making.

Our CEO
Born and raised in San Jose, California, at the heart of Santa Clara County, his roots run deep in in the area. He attended grammar school at Almaden School, and Terrell elementary, John Muir and John Steinbeck Junior High, Gunderson High School and San Jose State University where in 1984 he received his degree in Management. His paternal grandparents, children of Sicilian immigrants, moved to Los Gatos, California in 1953 from cold and bleak Erie, PA. His maternal grandparents moved to Los Gatos, CA from Lansing, Il (26 miles outside Chicago) in 1954. Both parents attended Los Gatos High School and after marriage moved to San Jose to partake in the affordable housing available in the new burgeoning suburbia.
Jeff caught the entrepreneurial bug from his father, Leonard S. Locastro, who in the early 1967 worked at such start-ups as and Applied Materials where he was the 14th person hired. In 1971, he as one of the founding investors in PortaPhone, an early cell phone technology. Later he pioneered the concept of the safe-transport industry for sensitive tech equipment. In 1972, he founded and operated, Sprint Transport and American TriStar, a successful shipping operation specializing in the this new type of transport. Then in 1989 founded Chemical Equipment Technology, the worlds leading supplier of EPI-Reactor fume scrubbing technology where they invented the patented ACD System technology.
Jeff was also a member of the original executive team for Classmates.com, the #1 ranked reunion and re-connection website in the world. "We were a social network before we even new enough to call it 'social network'. We invented it.", says Mr. LoCastro.
